The Graham Collection

About the Collection

The Don Graham collection was donated to the CT Hurst Museum of Western Colorado University, by his mother, Zeta Graham. The Graham collection consists of 194 assorted lithic artifacts and was compiled over the course of multiple decades in the Gunnison Valley, spanning from the 1960s to the early 2000s. Tools such as bifaces, scrapers, cores, and flakes have been identified as being part of various cultures associated with the Archaic period. Point typologies have been identified as the Lake Mojave Cluster, Northern Side-Notched type, San Pedro Cluster, Gatecliff Split-Stem type, Elko Cluster, and the Rosegate Cluster.
